If you are looking for something to do in South Lake Tahoe this Fourth of July before hitting the beach parties in Zephyr Cove, we highly recommend checking out the parade. Stay at an Adventure Stays property to be near the action!
The South Lake Tahoe parade will begin at 9:00 AM, starting on Ski Run Blvd & Tamarack Ave. It will move north to Highway 50, then west to Al Tahoe Blvd. The parade will conclude at Bijou Community Park.
This year's theme is "Stars and Stripes" and will recognize the service of first responders, military personnel, and local community leaders. There will be a flyover, fantastic people-watching, and spectacular vibes! Don't forget to wear your red, white, and blue!!!
The following locations are recommended for a premium viewing experience. Get there early to make sure you have a spot!
We personally recommend you find a spot on Harrison Avenue (get some 'za at Slice of Sierra while you're at it) and hang out at one of the many patios nearby.
From the City's website...
"Highway 50 will be closed Westbound from Al Tahoe Blvd to Ski Run along the parade route. To navigate around the parade route, the eastbound traffic would detour to Pioneer Trail at Al Tahoe, and the westbound traffic would detour at Pioneer Trail/US 50 intersection.
Ski Run Blvd. will be closed to through traffic from Lake Tahoe Blvd (Hwy 50) to Tamarack Ave starting at 8:00 AM. Ski Run Blvd. will open again at approximately 11:00 AM.
